Ive cleaned the carburetor check the lines changed the plugs and i still have trouble starting it but when i get it started it runs ok then bogs down and dies but when i kill it it has trouble starting again.

What is the fuel mix on this motor?
I was using 24:1 but looking at other posts it said 50:1?

I'm sure if its 50:1 that's my whole problem. Right?

Hi,

Any chance of a photo of your choke linkage please, would be of great help for me to sort out my carb problem,

Thanks

I beleive that it is a roller bearing engine, but check the parts charts at shop.evinrude.com to make sure, (check the crankshaft section and look for needle bearings on the rod assemblies.) Shold be a 50:1 mix.

Did you soak the carb overnight in carb cleaner and blow out all passages with compressed air? Might have to re-do the carb cleaning and float setting.

Taff, start a new thread. No fair hijacking one.

So you think its just the mix and after a good clean it should be ok?
