20hp tiller arm on a 25

I have a 25hp Chrysler that is set up for a steering wheel or remote steering & has no tiller arm. I found a 20 hp parts motor but don't know if the tiller arm will swap over & fit mine. Does anyone know if they are the same tiller arm or how to find out? Thanks in advance

I think it will fit, but I am not 100% sure. If the 20Hp is from 1978 or later it will fit, they have the same partnumber 458079.
The tiller for the earlier 20Hp has another partnumber 436079, BUT it may fit.

Cool thanks. Idk what year the 20 is but mine is a 1983. Where did u find those part #'s? If u don't mind telling me. I've looked everywhere & Can't find any info on tiller arms factory or aftermarket. Thank u so much

You can check it at ishopmarine.com then Mercurystore/Chrysler/xx Hp xxxx year.
The partnumber for 20Hp earlier I looked up in my factory partsmanual.

Nordin, thanks so much for the help. Do u know if an aftermarket tiller arm is available for the 1983 25hp Chrysler? The guy w/ the parts motor is gettin a little sketchy. Not sure I'm gonna be able to get it now. He wouldn't sell it now he wants me to bring him fishin for it. Idk lol

I do not think there is any aftermarket tillers available. Check ebay or craiglist.
It is a pitty, I live in Sweden Europe. I have some used.
But in the US there must be alot of partsengine.
