20HP VS 25 HP MERC

I have a 1996 MERC 20HP longshaft tiller manual start, 13 pitch prop, on a 14ft Fisher Aluminum boat.<br />Can anyone tell me what the difference between the 20hp and 25hp are? According to the specs they are the same motor. Would it be worthwhile to make the changes to upgrade my 20HP to a 25HP, instead of buying a new (used) 25hp or 30hp??<br />Thanks for the help.....

Bigger carb and thats it! Engine turns 500 RPM more so top end goes up and hole shots remain the same. Reproping to keep same RPM will gain nothing, you MUST allow the engine to turn 500 rpm more.
