I have a 1997 baja 208 islander with a 454 I'm running a 14 5/8 23 prop and it is turn 4400 rpm and 60mph with 4 in the boat and 1/2 tank Should a 21 pitch prop be the better fit? Would I get more rpm and lose speed or would the mph stay the same?
More RPM and slower. Are you having a problem with take off (slow to plain)? That is the only reason you would want to prop down a speed boat.<br />4400wot is a good place to have it.
