225,s set up for 8 months

do i need to do a rebuild on the carbs when the motors have set up for 8 months without running? i just bought the boat and have only test run it for 20 minutes and it ran great. the previous owner said he used fuel stabilizer and carbongaurd<br />but i know it sat up for 8 months without starting. it starts and runs great now but i dont want to blow a cylinder? any input?

If you ran it for 20 minutes inder a load and didn't hurt it, you are most likely OK. If it were mine I would probably clean them anyway and install new OE kits. Along with all the other normal "new to me" things to do.<br /><br />Good luck!
