225 Yamaha outboard stalls with trimming motor

225 Yamaha outboard saltwater series, after coming off plane and trimming the engine it stalled 2 or 3 times and would not start right away but would crank. Is this a short? And how do I find it?

On my F150 I noticed the tach would shoot to zero when I was using the trim and although it never stalled the engine "missed". Turned out to be a bad ground right at the battery terminal, so far! Sherm
