I am replacing the thermostat on my 225d. I looked it up on the volvo penta store, it is shown in the exploded diagram, but in the parts list, there is no part number, or price. I did find one by sierra, p/n 18-3662, but it doesnt look exactly the same. I guess I am kinda picky. I realize its aftermarket, and wont look exact, I just want to get the right part. I also realize that a SBC is an SBC. That in the automotive realm, any thermostat for a SBC will work. My concern in a marine application, is not just the temp, but will the snap ring work with the sierra, or stant etc. Thanks in advance!
