Well I am back in the boating game after a short stay on land. I sold the aquasport and now have a 99 24 seamaster walkaround 220hp 5.0L alpha and it has a michigan wheel 15 1/4 x 15 alumnium prop that leaves somthing to be desired. The boat is about 5000lbs fully loaded and runs 33 mph at 4800 rpm with this setup but if I trim any more than about a quater the way through the trim it makes the boat porpuse like the prop is losing bite. Any more and the boat slows almost to a stop. There is very little cup on this prop and I think a stainless would add some effeciency as well as some performance. I am not looking to run top speed but to run 25 to 28 mph as effiencently as possible as well as a better holeshot.
I am new to the sterndrive game and do not know how a stainless will react in terms of adjusting pitch down from the alumnium.
Any info will be appreciated and thanks to all
