2005 Glastron fish/ski
has the bow control that show 12/24 volt for trolling motor power.
I have tried to do some searching but am coming up empty. My boat I just bought has 2 sets of wires for 2 trolling motor batteries and I would like to set up a 24v trollng motor. My problem is that the second set of wires in the boat have never been hooked up to a battery before. The current trolling motor is hooked to just one battery and that one has a thick black and thick red wire for the hookups.
The second battery location under the seat has a thick red (pos) wire BUT a very thin black wire. I know I need to connect the POS from bat 1 to the NEG of bat 2 to achieve 24v so maybe that black wire is a jumper? I dont see where the other end of that wire comes out so as of now I couldnt attach the other end to anything.
BOTH battery locations have thick red wires.
The attached pics show the compartment with the engine battery and the current trolling motor battery. Then other 2 show the where the second battery will go and the wire to attach it.
Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks for the help.
