No, you don't need a jumper in all cases to create a 24 volt system. You apparently have a 12 OR 24 volt system. But from your description I will not even hazard a guess as to what you need to do. You need to provide exact details on what the wiring configuration is. Is there a switch panel (RUN/CHARGE) or (12/24) etc. Do you actually have a 24 volt motor, a 12 volt motor, or one that can run on 12 and 24 volts (brand name and size). Wire colors, wire gauge, where the wires are connected up front, and where they end up at the back.
I have a 1996 lund pro-v, I know that you need to jumper over to create 24v but I also have wires coming from the front plug-in (red,orange,black,and black with blue stripe) then there is smaller wires same colors. FRom the back I think it is from the charging plug-in is 4 wires same colors and I am not sure where all these wires go. If someone could send a diagram or some very detailed information that would be FISH-ON!!! also can I charge these batteries with just a regular battery charger converted to plug in that receptical?
