25 hp 2001 tracker pt165

My tach doesnt work.........Can anyone tell me if this 25hp motor and boat set up should have worked when it was new from the factory........Im not sure if because it is a 25hp if the tach was factory set up ? Thanks ........

If your wondering if the tach would be original it could be and it would work.
If your wondering about performance it would be ok assuming you weren't
hauling a lot of weight.

I know it originally came with the boat just not sure if they hooked them up or if the 25 hp is the type of outboard that has all the necessary things that you need to make a tach work......
