25 HP Evinrude recoil

I have a 1960 25 HP evinrude big twin. Ser# 25902D-E08015. My question is, I need to replace the recoil assembly. Can anyone tell me what years and HP's would fit, or am I limited to that model?

That's actually a 1969 model. Recoils from most of the 18 to 25 horse models from about 1959 up to about 1975 will work, functionally, although some may have different cowling seal arrangements.

Thanks Chinewalker. I've always thought it was older. My Dad gave it to me years ago and all the parts I've ordered for it were just with the ser# and nobody ever told me it was a different year.
