25 HP Sea King

I am looking at buying a Sea King 25 HP, the guy over the phone said he would guess that it is from the 1950's. He said he runs it regularly and it works great. I have been trying to find more info on this motor but I cannot find anything about a 25 HP Sea King. Are they rare? Could someone tell me approximetly what year this motor is from. I am going to look at it later today in person. Thanks, Mike

Very difficult to tell who built the motor without a model number.Gale built motors begin with GG and were produced 57-63.There may be later motors built by West Bend and Chrysler.Gale built motors share many parts with E/J motors and routine parts are readily available.Gale built are very good motors.Chrysler built motors are ok but parts can be spotty.and hard to find.
