25 hp with no spark

I have a 25 hp model 25553b and I have no spark. This thing has been modified a little. It now has a electric starter not sure if it came with that. The key switch is missing and I don't see the wires for it. I am looking for a wiring diagram for this. Do I need a battery for spark?? I believe it is a 1975 with points
