I have a 2003 merc 25 2-cycle OT676366. pull start/tiller.
The motor ran fine but had a small leak at the primer diaphram. I bought gasket kit# 1395-9761-1. , replaced all gaskets as they came off. No more leak, but now it won't stay running. It starts fine, but seems to run itself out of fuel. If I squeeze the bulb it will start right back up and if I squeeze the bulb while running every minute or so, it will stay running, but if I just leave it run at idle or with some throttle, it will cut out after a couple of minutes.

I used carb cleaner and compressed air as I disassembled (on metal only). Could I have damaged something?

I am not beyond buying a new carb, but after many searches I cannot find anything on new ones. (it's a Walbro, WMC-65 2322.) Or should I try a new gasket kit. (are diaprams defective).

thanks.

Re: 25 merc carb

You may have burst the pump diaphram if you blew in the wrong hole or you might have the carb mounting gasket on backwards covering the pulse hole.
