250 evinrude info bombadire

are the bombadire direct injection 250 hp the old fitch system or a different better worse one ? what year do they change if they do at all . thanks

Bombardier started producing the Evinrude direct injected outboards for the 2002 and later years. They were competely re-engineered and much better quality than the former OMC built motors. they are very reliable.

Now another generation is here as the E-TEC which is another evolutionary leap from the earlier engines. Bombardier has a high-tech 2-stroke motor that has fewer emissions than the highly touted 4-stroke engine.
