25hp Bigfoot tilts up not down at throttle

My 2006 Bigfoot will tilt up and down with the motor controls with no problem. But, it will not do down using the controls on the throttle. Has anyone run into this before? If so, what would be the usual cause? It is on a pontoon boat and it is very difficult to tow it to the dealer without a trailer. If it is a simple problem I would rather just fix it myself. Thanks!

i had same problem..i took out the togle switch on the throttle and found a broken wire. i thought it best to replaced switch and not solder wires

thats my thought. loose on broken wire. has it been like this since the beginning. who installed the motor. if the dealer installed it should be a warranty item. and they should send a mech out to the boat.
