I have an 08 Merc 25HP EFI on a Sundance flat bottom Skiff.
I thought the hub had spun but after I got a new prob the same thing is happening. The RPMs go up but the boat barely moves. When I drop the trim pin to the lowest setting the boat will move right out but you can still detect prob cavitation.
This is a tiller set up so I have no gauges to tell the RPM or speed.
The prop that is on it is the 9 3/4 x 9.5 pitch.
What way should I go to get less cavitation. Tomorrow when I get into work I will check on the adj of the cavitation plate
