Here is the brief:
Bought a pontoon cheap. Been sitting for 10+ years and even had trees growing on the deck.
25 Envinrude hangs off the back.
Pull the cover and mice have had a hayday. Repaired the harnesses, cleaned all the terminals, cranks great, has good spark but no fuel.
Pull the carb and rebuild it. Full of varnish. Soak carb and use carb clean and air to make sure all the passages are open. Put the carb back on, sqeeze the ball with anticipation and only cranks - no fire. The engine will briefly start if I spray carb clean while cranking so I know it's a fuel issue. If I pull the screw at the bottom of the bowl I have gas.
Help me figure out what I missed. This is my first outboard carb rebuild so hopefully it's something simple or give me pointers on what to check.
The engine is a 1979.
