25hsp Merc won't keep running!

I need help solving the problem of my 2003 Merc- 25hsp outboard motor. It will sporatically run for approx 2 - 5min..then just quits! If it is stuttering and I try to give it gas...it quits as well. I have checked the gas tank and fuel line. It seems to be something in the engine ...could it be the fuel enrichner? I have not been able to check the fuel filter...Does anyone know how to remove it?
