25th. Anniversary

I must be some kind of "wierdo".

I will be married to my bride for 25 years, next month.

I took her out to a very nice jewelry store to pick out an "anniversary" ring, which she now has. She's delighted.

I was shocked by the "attitude" of the sales consultants-young 20 somethings. When advised it was for a 25th. anniversary, they looked at us like we were freaks.

We went ahead and designed/bought a ring with the help of the store manager. I can highly recommend "The Shane Company". I've done business with them before.

Am I off base?

I'm more in love with this woman than the day I met her. We dated for five years before we tied the knot. We are soul mates.

I feel, in todays society, I'm a "whacko".

BTW, we're going to a costume party, next week. She still fits in her wedding dress. I don't fit into the tux (rental). Thank God for tux rentals. They don't keep records. ;) :D

What gives?

Congrats Dan!!!

I spent my anniversay this year in a tent in over 100 degree weather as an evacuee from Rita. We had steak with a nice mosquito crust.

You're not a wacko DJ. Too bad we don't have more families that think like you and stay together for a change. Too many kids go to daddys house on the weekends...if they're lucky enough to know who daddy is. Natalie and I will be together 20 years next year. And I'm only 41. Looking forward to the next 20 to be honest. Congratulations DJ!
And many more!

Dave

LF,

God Bless you.

I knew that (anniversary) was coming up. Maybe sharing it in a tent was just the ticket, for many more years. ;) :p

I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter. I'm with this woman, by my choice, for eternity.

Your not a whacko, you just married a SAINT. :D

There are a lot of people who stay married forever, but that is boring, and requires hard work, so you never hear about them.

A big congrats to you and the little lady.

That is a TRUE statement!!!

Amen.

What's strange is that we have changed. She is the nicest person, I've ever known. She wasn't always like that, nor was I. We've "grown" together.

I relate all that (especially her) to knowing her Savior. That journey, I am on.

Thanks all, for all your encouraging words. We'll "carry on". I've booked a nice weekend get-away at a nice resort, here in Phoenix.

Shhhhhh! She doesn't know about it.

Congrats DJ! It takes a great deal to stick to a life-long committment and no person can be "wierd" because of that!

Wishing you many, many more DJ.

CJY
