260 mercruiser help

I have a 260 mercruiser 1983 that is hard to start after running. If the boat has been running and I shut it off then try to crank it then it starts ok. If I?ve ran it for while then shut it off and let it sit for 10 to 15 mins then it takes around 30 secs turning the starter over to get it to crank.. any ideas?

Ayuh,... When was the last time it had a Full,+ Complete Tune Up,..??

last month new spark plugs set timming and carb...

Ayuh,... Could be cap. or rotor. or plug wires, or carb settings, or the carb leaking internally...
Or,..
It could be your method of starting... Do you advance the throttle at all,..?? try it...
