Hello all,
i was outside looking over my boat this am and noticed a bit of oil seeping from the upper gear box. I took the rear cover off (the one that exposes the shift rod) and noticed that there is oil seeping from the housing ( circled in red in the attached picture)
.
What would cause this ? Am i into replacing just the seal on the shifter mechanism or am i needing to go deeper? Boat is winterized and shrink wrapped till spring. from what i can see from this pic there are 2 seals, well 1 seal and one o-ring. Is it as simple as replacing those parts or do i need to go deeper? As i said it isnt pouring out of there just a very slow seep.
