Well I think my Jack screw holes on the helmet are stripped. I did as don said in a previous post using 1/4 20mm nut and was real gentle hit bottom backed out screw and it was on the verge of stripping. I then read that I should be using a 6mx1 and so I tried but that stripped quick. The Outdrive is used in saltwater is their any suggestions on how to get the pin out or should I just take it to the shop at this point?

Mine was tight and required a lot of heat and patience. Just a word of warning about the heat - since this was my first Volvo I didn't know the tilt gear was plastic. (Not sure what it is called, but it is the gear and track used to indicate the position of the outdrive). The heat melted the track and gear.

Anyway, I put pressure on the jack bolts, heated the helmet, and tapped around to get the bushing to pop out.

They are 1/4-20. Manual is wrong. I also made a spanned to twist the pin from the mounting holes. Breaks it loose to drive out. Use tef-gel when you reinstall

Do not use stainless 1/4-20 bolts to drive it out. Grade 8 recommended
