I have just fitted 5L votec long block 2 a sunseeker, (which was a Volvo AQ 211)
i have fitted new exhaust manifolds and risers and an electric fuel pump.
but had to fit the original 2bbl carb to the 4 barrel inlet manifold via an adapter plate.
and also fitted the original distributor and leads.
the engine started fine but when you give it a hard rev the engine just bogs down.
luckily the boat has two engines and i have been able to swap the carbs over from one engine to the other.
but it has made no differences.
could it be that the 2bbl doesn't run well on the votec engine with the adapter plate.
