There may be a lake or 2 that ban 2 cycle outboards, most likely a drinking water source. Who knows, maybe someday they will ban the sale of NEW 2 cycles, but you will still be able to use the ones you have.<br /><br />It a situation like new cars. They have to meet more stringent emmission regulations, but your 7 year old car has not been banned, has it?

I'd be more inclined to suggest that they will not ban 2 strokes completely, <br /><br />I'd think it more likely that they will ban carbed 2 strokes.. (or any 2 stroke that isn't DFI).<br /><br />The new e-tecs are cleaner running then 4 strokes, so I can't see them getting banned.<br /><br />rgds<br /><br />Franki

If 2 strokes were gonna be banned I don't think GM would be developing one.<br /><br />Hummmm..........

Right on Dhadley! They will never totally ban 2-strokes. Too may out there! Although some lakes have done away with them, that is a miniscule number in the great scheme of things. And they are making 2-strokes as efficient as 4-strokes anyway..
