2hp yamaha stalls when given full throttle, Help

Hey guys I was I have this 84 yamaha 2 hp 2strk that runs great at low to medium throttle but when I try to rev it past the three quarter on the throttle it stumbles and sometimes stalls. Just changed the impeller and thought I solved the problem but I guess not

Any input would be greatly appreciated,
perhaps even a backyerd mechanic would help if it didnt cost too much

I know what you mean. I have a 4 hp Yama 4 stk, and mine does the same
exact thing. I think mine is a little worse, I wind up with a fouled plug
every time, and I cannot restart. I've been getting excesive use of the
oars lately, and am very tired of it. I believe it has something to do with
the carb adjustments. I have changed fuel filter, gone to premium fuel
and am having the same problems. If you find out what your problem is

small horsepower engine get temperamental with carb adjustments, oil mix, and dirt. both problems sound like carb problems but find someone who knows the motor to adjust
