We have a 2017 Southbay tri-toon and I want to add an in-dash Humminbird depth finder (HDR650). The boat came with a Humminbird Helix 5 mounted on the console with it's transducer mounted on the port side on the factory bracket. The ladder is on the starboard toon so I don't think mounting it there is a good idea.

I want the in-dash so that it comes up when the boat starts and I don't have to turn on the Helix. The Helix is 83/200khz and the in-dash is just 200 so I'll add a switch to turn it off if I need to, to prevent interference. Humminbird apparently used to make a switch to let two head units share a transducer, but they don't seem to anymore. The ones you find online look like they have a different connector.

Anyway, anyone done something like this ? I saw one old post where the poster said he had attached a second transducer to the center log. Thoughts ?

I have a new Starcraft ex-R with Helix 5 in the dash also... works great... stay away from ladder side as the ladder wont snap off the transducer if mounted over there... but FEET sticking through the ladder rungs will getting in a out......... maybe weld a small bracket on the port side...perhaps contact Hummingbird and see if interference issue..
