3.0 alpha 1 gen 2 sometimes choking while accel

Sometimes when I am gradually speeding up in gear! It'll like misfire pretty bad but only for a small amount of travel in throttle. I just replaced lower shift cable and adjusted the one that goes from helm to engine.
Was I suppose to adjust the gas cable too?

Nope,... but it Does sound like a Carb problem,....

Check the fuel filters for crud, 'n water,...
If anything has passed the filters, it's now in the carb, 'n causin' yer issue...

Where are all the filters located? I know of the one next to the start, are you saying for sure it's the carb?

Sounds like a similar carb problem I had with same motor. I had a distinct hesitation/ bog down when accelerating . I changed out the accelerator pump in the carb after changing the filters ( at fuel pump and just before carb). Hope this helps.

Could it be the alternator ? When I use the trim I can see /hear engine rpm drop. And if I turn the blower or bilge on the Rpms lower alittlei
