I just acquired a 2001 Bayliner 175 Capri with 3.0. Its been sitting for 2 years. A couple years ago the outer starter mount broke on the previous owner. He rigged it up with a wood wedge and used for a couple years until he got a new boat 2 years ago. I set out to make the best possible fix short of replacing the block and this is what I came up with. Boat cranked right up and starter seems to engage fine and don't see any movement in it while its cranking. My only concern is how the small studs on the back of the starter will hold. Let me know what yall think.
