3.0 carb base

on my 3.0 mercruiser i have a ridiculously thin gasket, im wondering if i would be able to double up

Noticed your other post on an old thread, just FYI but that is frown on here

There is nothing wrong with a thin gasket, so long as its good enough to do the job. If its the top bowl gasket then there is no pressure on it, it just keeps dirt and crud out.

Which carb you working on (carb number) and which kit did you get?

3.0 carb base gasket

i have a 3.0 mercruiser and the base gasket ( 2 hole) is too thin it seems, I'm wondering if i can just double up ??just put a little form a gasket between the gaskets

Why do you think it is to thin? Also what year, serial number of the engine do you have?
