So heres the deal, bought a boat from an owner who was open about the issues with the boat. It has a cracked block. Last summer tried to have it worked on to see if it was just an exterior crack turned out after some epoxy work and running the boat got water in the oil and a shot block.
So the search for a replacement motor happened this winter, I found a boat that was a project boat had all interior pulled and carpet pulled but engine and outdrive has been winterized... guy wanted 500 for everything trailer included. Went ahead and picked up the boat last weekend.
My boat with the cracked block is a 3.0LX the serial numbers are as follows
Engine Serial Number = 0F799970
Transom Serial Number = 0F856647
Drive Serial Number = 0F885498
The boat that I picked up as a replacement is a 3.0L and for the motors numbers are as follows
Engine Serial Number = 0D719435
Transom Serial Number = 6683155
Drive Serial Number = 0D665810
You all see any major issues I am gonna have with the swap and what I should be trying to do if this swap is even possible? I greatly appreciate any help you all can offer, this forum has been a wealth of knowledge so far. Thanks again.
