Hello,

I bought a project a couple of years ago and replaced the engine with a new long block because the one in it was cracked. It was a 2012 3.0.

Is there any value to the old long block or just the scrap value? I would disassemble parts if I thought they had value and someone could use them but don't want to waste my time.

Thanks!
Mike

When i repowered michigan motorz bought my old cracked long block from me. Would think someone who rebuilds marine engines like that might give you a couple bucks for the core

Check with your local machine shop. There may be core value in the crank and head

Thank you both. If I don't find something local it appears Michigan Motors will give me a bit of money for it next time I pass through that way.
