Hey guys I have a really weird problem......... I have cleaned carb and flame arrestor , put some stable in fuel just in case ............
cleaned filter at carb and replaced filter in pump........... On muffs it runs fantastic in neutral and in gear also in high idle ........
Took to the boat ramp left hooked to trailer and ran for about 5min in gear and ran really good so i unhooked it and dropped it in water ...........
idled out past the no wake zone and was cruising along fine all the sudden it started runnin rough so i turned it around and while in gear it died .............
put it in neutral and runs fine put it in gear and it doesnt want to run finally got it back to the dock and manually loaded it onto trailer ...........
while checking it out I touched the ignition coil and it was very very hot I mean so hot it put a blister on my finger .......
Now I know that the ign coil is suppose to get warm but my question is should it be getting that hot and could that be my problem Im thinking maybe it runs fine while it is cold but once it warms up and the coil gets smokin hot it is interfeering with my spark......
Replaced plugs couple of weeks ago and double checked timing , also checked tank vent tube and anti syphon valve while I was cleaning carb and flame arrestor ......
Sorry about the long post just trying to give as much info as possible any help and advice is appreciated as always ......
