Have 1984 3.0 mercruiser with alpha one outdrive. Just rebuilt engine,rebuilt carb..My problem is...when in water under a load the engine runs fine at 1000 to 1700 rpm.when i start to acc.engine tries to bog out and die. Playing with the acc..sometimes i can get 2000 to 3000 rpm's....but the engine gets rough and smooth back and fourth. When i trailer the boat with muffs on the engine runs fine...of course its not under a load...but could anyone offer any advice??? Much thanks.
