I just took my boat out of storage. I put the muffs on it and hooked the battery up and lowered the motor down. When I turn the key all my gauges worked. But when I went to start it clicked like ot was going to start and then I lost all power. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks for any help.

Re: 3.0 mercruiser power problem

Dying battery and/or poor cable connection, somewhere.

Disconnect, clean ALL cable ends of ALL battery cables, ground point on block, unplug cannon plug check large pins, if any 'looseness' use an exacto-knife to swell male pin to make a tighter connection. WARNING; ensure battery is disconnect before toughing and pins as it is way too easy to short across the pins.

If he follows the troubleshooting chart, it covers loose and corroded terminals too.
