I have a 1991 SeaRay 3.0 Mercruiser with points ignition. The engine runs like a new one for about 10 minutes at wide open throttle or close to it . It then begins to miss. I back off the throttle and it runs fine for another couple of minutes and begins to stammer again. I back off again and its fine for another few minutes and then begins to miss again. I then let it idle for another few minutes until it completely stops. It will not restart for at least an hr. Usually an hr. and a half. Has new wires ,cap and rotor, points and coil. Battery is new and alternator was rebuilt 3 yrs. ago.
