I have a 2004 Mariah sx18 with a mercury mercruiser 3.0 that's trim will not go up. I had just got my carbs cleaned and took the boat out on the water to test and minutes after running i opened the hatch just to check to make sure everything was ok (and thank god i did!!!!) and noticed the mechanic ripped off the cooling hose to the engine and water was spilling out everywhere in the compartment! I couldn't believe it! He never reattached the thing ! I shut the engine right down put the hose back on and everything seemed to work properly but when i was going to trim the motor back up nothing happened. It makes sound and the pump turns on to trim down but nothing at all when trimming up. I'm assuming all the water spraying shorted something out. I am fairly new to boating so if anyone could lead me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated. After some reading I think it may be the solenoid. If that's the case where is it located and where can I pick one up. Thanks in advance!!!
