I have a 1995 Sunbird Stinger with a 3.0 OMC Cobra motor. I got the boat a few months ago with no idea what it has been through. I did a ton of motor work to it and got it running and it runs well. It starts good and runs good and hits speeds between 35 and 40 at 4000 rpm's. The problem..... If you give the boat full throttle from a dead stop it take forever to get up to plane and speed.
What I don't know is if this is the way this motor is or if I have a fuel, air, or timing prob? If you bring the throttle up slowly the motor will rev with the throttle but if you punch it there is no quick response. Any suggestions?
