91 bayliner 3.0 mercruiser alpha 1. I am looking for something that shows which wires should go on what plugs. Also is plug one considered the forward plug or the aft plug on the engine? Any help would be appreciated.

One thing you MUST do, is to verify that you are on #1 TDC on the COMPRESSION STROKE. if you are on the exhaust stroke, the rotor will be pointing 180? from where it should be.
