Hi. I recently hit a piece of concrete or a rock while i was coming into the boat launch. The prop is bent on one of the fins pretty bad. It's aluminum. I want to replace the 3 blade prop with a 4 blade prop. Currently, the prop is a 3 blade 14X23. I'm looking at a 4 blade 14X19 prop because i'm finding that a 14X19 will be faster on plane and good for tubing and a skiier. I have a 3.0 Mercruiser with an Alpha one sterndrive. Any thoughts on going from a 3 blade to 4 blade 14X19? I know I'll lose top end,but thats fine because we don't go over 25mph anyway. Looking at Rubex 4 aluminum prop. Thanks in advance.

Re: 3.0 prop.

Please read "read this first" at the top of the pagre and get us as much info as possible.
Prop size will depend on your present performance.I think going to a 19 could be extreme and not necessary.I do think that a 23 is probably at the very extreme for your setup.
This would usually have good speed but slow hole shot and poor load performance.
