Hi all, been a while since i posted. Hopefully a simple question. To replace my altenator/drive pulley belt it appears that i will have to remove the front motor mount from the engine as the belt goes around the port side select trim mount. Can i just block the motor, remove the stringer lag bolts and the 3 front mount engine bolts and slide it forward enough to remove the belt? Is there an easier method? Thanks for your help.

The way that I have done in on mine : place a scissor jack with a board under the engine and raise to support the engine. / Remove the bolts for the jack screw (engine mount) / tilt jack screw forward and swap your belts.

I liked using the scissor jack as the engine did need to be shuffled a little to get the mounting bolts to line up again.

Thanks for the response. To be clear you are removing the cross stringer mount (bolts to the hull) as well as the center trim bolt? Or just the center trim bolt?

No. Not the mount to the hull. The center trim bolt (top of the jack screw) on mine holds the jack screw to the engine mount bracket. That bracket bolts to the engine block ... and the belt passes through that bracket.

Okay, so remove the jack screw nut and raise the engine til it clears the stud. Looks like it will take about 3 inches to clear it. Thanks for your help.
