I have asked this question before, but got no response so I will ask again. I have a 1981 merc cruiser 4 cyl. 4.0 engine. When I look for a manual on the merc site I only find reference to 3.0. Are these the same or what.<br />Thanks<br />
Well man I'm getting old and senile I guess. You got me thinking so I went back and re-checked and your right it is a 3.0, 140, don't know where the 4.0 came from, anyway thanks for the help, now I can proceed with ordering parts for the fall tare down.<br />
