3.0 vs 4.3

Dumb question Will a 3.0 and 4.3 in same type boat same prop size same rpm go the same speed? thanks in advance

Not dumb just tricky, and the answer is:
Yes - the key is the rpm.
If the prop spins at an XXX rpm the speed will be same no matter what makes it spin. In real world larger motor will have more power and spin the prop faster so the rig will move faster.

Ayuh,... The 4.3l will also have taller gears, so even the same prop would be spinnin' faster...
