I have 1988 3.0 in 18 foot Sea-ray. Today we took it out it started fine and when we were leaving the launch the motor coughed I didn't think anything about it, about after a 1/2 hour we stopped to swim I noticed that the oil pressure was a little jumpy it normally stays at 40 psi and it was dropping to 30. I pulled the dipstick there was water in the oil{milky}. So we limped back and drove home. When we got home I drained the block water there was no oil in it, pulled the plugs no trace of water. The runs fine no skipping not overheating .....any clues?

Re: 3.0 water in oil

Thanks for the posting. there is just enough of water to make the oil murky, I just came back in from checking it out and I noticed that there is a little milk on the under side of the hood just behind the carb..... looks like a fine light misting of it..... Intake gasket?
