Just bought a 2012 Bayliner 197 Deck Boat. When it first starts, the boat vibrates/shakes for about 5-10 seconds, then goes away. Is this an engine problem or boat problem?
I don't think so, mine does that, especially after it's been sitting for a while. I think it's just burning off the gas from start up....you might need to adjust the choke settings....no hard to do.
Mine does that if I bring it down to idle with the engine cold, bring it up to 1000rpm and let it warm up for a minute, and then it idles as smooth as,,, well smooth as a 3.0L engine can...
After sitting for awhile, mine does it, like it almost wants to die on me, raise the rpms slightly until it smooths out, then drop er back down to idle -- should be fine.
