Hi just got the sierra 18-8114 fuel line for My mercruiser 3.0. As the sale person said i would be a perfect fit.

Went to change it today and found out that the pump is a male connector. And the New fuel line is also male connector.

Is there Any female to female adapter u can get that would fit the fuel line and pump?

Or do I have to buy a New fuel line? Hope u Guys can help me With this. Thx in advance. Lars

Ahh No, the sierra 18-8114 is a inverted flare JIC to inverted flare JIC

What is your engine serial number?

for My mercruiser 3.0.

Serial Number: 0F155441

It's a good idea to put your engine serial number in the first post of every new thread. I've history searched and found your serial number, but that's a time consuming process, and when we are answering (sometimes) dozens of posts a day, we can't always do that.

The other option is do what a few of us do, add a signature to your iboats profile and include the engine AND drive serial numbers in there. That way, the information is on every post. :D

There are 2 different lines for that engine, depending on whether the exhaust manifold is 'single piece' or has removable end caps.

Using the S/N I'm finding the line does use 2 inverted flare male fittings, but on the pump side it uses a fitting from 3/8 Female JIC with a compression. I think the easiest way to fix this would be to use 3/8 brake line.

Without knowing the ID of the line you have, would need a inverted flare male to Female 3/8 JIC fitting
