I have replaced this carb with a new one but went through summit for the marine carb instead of volvo and saved about 4 - 500 bucks. I am dumping too much fuel and believe that my jets are too large. This carb came from Holley with 61's. I believe that is way too much for a 3.0L 4 cyl. Does anyone have the correct jet size for me to use?

That engine uses a 500 cfm Holley 2 brl. The standard 3.0 uses smaller jets than the H.O. I have the H.O. and as I remember the standard jets are 60 something and the H.O. fets are 70 something. sorry I can't give you the exact sizes. My manual is in OK and I am in CO. The sizes are in the ONC manual.

Ok, I am having a smoking issue on cold start, and a stutter from 0 to launch to pull a skiier out of water. This is a Holley 2300 2bbl from SummitRacing and a totally rebuilt 3.0L HO GM engine. I am thinking power valve and Jets. The jets in here are a 61 and Power Valve of 1 Hg I believe. My Seloc says it requires a #71 and Power Valve of 2.5 Hg. Just noticed these parts were wrong. I am concerned that if I raise the jet size, I will be dumping too much fuel. Can my problem be in the size jets and Power Valve and if someone can explain this too me since carberators are a little before my time. Thanks for any assistance and what I have received so far.

Ok, I am having a smoking issue on cold start,

Normal, carbs do that at startup till it warms up and the choke comes off. If the choke is too tight it makes it worse.

and a stutter from 0 to launch to pull a skiier out of water
.
That could be due to the carb idle mixture being out of adjustment, or a faulty accelerator pump, or even the engine needing a tuneup.

This is the specs from the OEM service manual.

PS: Here is links to the OEM service manual for that carb that the specs came from.
