I have a 1995 Marada MX-1 (17'10" bowrider).
Came stock with a 3.0LX and alpha 1. (the only option available for this model).
I was curious to see if I could swap the tired 3.0lx with a 4.3?
The engine compartment is the whole width of the boat, and just has a removable dividing wall on each side of the engine to seperate fuel tank on one side and battery on the other.
Is it possible to install a 4.3 without much hassle, or will it require too much mods to make it worthwhile?
The 3.0 was alright when it was new (I could reach 44mph on smooth water), but now 35mph is the top speed. Or is there any better way to get a little more power from a 3.0?
Thanks!
