Hello,
New to the forum, I have a new to me '85 18 foot Imp X180 with a 3.7L Mercruiser 488. The engine is very low hours and sounds great. Cooling system and compression test are excellent!
As part of the regular maintenance checklist I am doing on it to ensure proper operation, I found that the exhaust flaps were missing, in the process of replacing them and ordered them directly from mercruiserparts.com.
I have some serious concerns that their parts list is not accurate, I received the flaps which are oval and the retaining ring which is round just like the exhaust pipe, see images below.
if anybody has replaced the flaps on a round pipe, can you verify that these are the correct one, part #60930? I would like to confirm before opening them up and going through the work of opening up the exhaust again.
